What to Expect
From the moment you step on board, you relax and cares melt away. The salt-sea air brings with it a sublime sense of freedom, and as it touches your face, you smile. With the snap of a crisp white sail, this vacation becomes an adventure.
The WIND STAR is a motor-sail-yacht (msy), but the designation belies the vessel’s unique rigging. Unfurling in two minutes at the push of a button, billowing white sails reach to the sky. The "open-bridge" operation allows you to drop by and acquaint yourself with the veteran captain and officers who demonstrate the ship’s intriguing capabilities.
With just 74 cabins, the intimate WIND STAR is small enough to offer a private-yacht-like atmosphere. It is a casual environment with emphasis on the extraordinary ports of call and the variety of activities available. All cabins have ocean views, a sitting area, flat screen TV, mini-bar/refrigerator, bathroom with luxurious pampering toiletries, hair dryer, plush terry cloth robes, and an abundance of closet space. The fine appointments include soft luxurious sheets topped with a light-as-a-cloud duvet.
The ship’s dinning room, with rich teak walls and soft lighting is the most elegant restaurant onboard, yet you will never need a jacket or tie to enjoy the inspired culinary delights. The library stocks an array of international newspapers, books and games, and hundreds of movies for complimentary check-out. There is a gym, salon, and plenty of teak decking with a pool.
