Summary
Western Canada is the perfect environment for a family learning adventure. Horseback riding, hiking, and sightseeing excursions all provide opportunities to better understand the geology, flora, fauna, and human history of this extraordinarily beautiful landscape.
If you have ever thought about taking your children or grandchildren on a trip… If you are looking for an educational adventure that will engage both you and your children or grandchildren… Then, this program is for you.
THE YOUNG NATURALIST PROGRAM
This trip is designed for the entire family. Activities including
scientific, botanical and arts and crafts projects have been
developed for our young naturalists (ages 7–17), and are led by
professional children’s educators at scheduled times throughout
the trip. All young naturalist projects are designed with the
purpose of stimulating curiosity and encouraging an
understanding of the history, and rich native traditions of the
region. Parents and grandparents can observe and participate in
these rewarding activity sessions. Enhancing this rich
educational experience for both adults and children are hiking
expeditions, horseback riding, and daily discussions. Although
young naturalists are supervised during scheduled activities,
children are the sole responsibility of parents and grandparents
at all times during the trip.
