Robert Healy

Robert Healy, professor emeritus of environmental policy, has been visiting Mexico for over 40 years and says Oaxaca is among his very favorite places. He is a long-time member of Duke’s Latin American Studies faculty and has directed the university’s Center for International Studies and Center for North American Studies. Among his research interests are handicraft production and its relation to tourism and the production and consumption of local food products. He recently taught a freshman seminar titled Corn and Chocolate: Two Old-World Foods in the Global Economy.
