Robert Eskridge
Robert Eskridge, one of the Art Institute's most popular and informed lecturers, is the Woman’s Board Endowed Executive Director for the Department of Museum Education. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in art history from the University of Chicago and his master’s degree in art history from Oberlin College and has traveled widely in Italy.
Since beginning his career at the Art Institute in 1981, Mr. Eskridge has organized and administered all aspects of a wide variety of public programs–including lectures, seminars, tours, and workshops–for museum members and visitors, serving a diverse audience of adults and children. He is currently overseeing plans for the education facilities in the Art Institute’s new Modern Wing, scheduled to open in 2009.
