Don Messersmith

Birding leader Don Messersmith has helped us developed this extraordinary tinerary to include all of the best and most famous birding areas of Brazil, the Amazon forest, the cerrado (savannah), the Pantanal, and the Atlantic forest of Itatiaia. Don is a retired University of Maryland Professor Emeritus of Entomology and Ornithology. He has been organizing and leading nature tours for 53 years to every continent and about 117 countries. For more than 20 years Don and his wife operated World Nature Tours, Inc., which sent tours to all parts of the world. Brazil is one of Don’s most favorite places and he looks forward to sharing this extraordinary birding adventure with you.
