Included

  • Professional children’s educator to lead the Student Ambassador Program
  • A Siemer & Hand tour manager and local English-speaking guides throughout the trip
  • Accommodations for two nights at the Hotel Ponte Sisto in Rome and five nights at the Fattoria La Loggia, just outside Florence, in the heart of Tuscany
  • Breakfast daily, three lunches, and six dinners, including special welcome and farewell dinners
  • All sightseeing as outlined in the itinerary including entrance fees
  • Deluxe, air-conditioned coach travel for all sightseeing, and transfers with luggage handling for those traveling on group dates
  • Pre-trip assistance including suggested reading list and pre-departure information
  • In Rome, get your picture taken with a gladiator at the Colosseum and walk the Forum as the senators did.
  • In Tuscany, stay in a beautifully renovated 15th-century farmhouse, exclusively rented for our group, with charming rooms and apartments, great outdoor spaces, and a large swimming pool.
  • Special tours and activities for young travelers through the Student Ambassador Program, making this a unique and fun learning adventure.
  • Full day trip to the glorious city of Florence, home to Michelangelo's David and the Ponte Vecchio.
  • Explore the beautiful medieval towns of Siena and Lucca, and climb to the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Excluded

International airfare, airport and departure taxes; airport/hotel transfers for those not traveling on the program dates; meals and beverages other than those specified as included; charges for items of a personal nature including laundry, beverages and excess baggage charges; baggage and trip cancellation insurance; independent travel arrangements; passport fees.

Group Size

The program cost is based on a minimum of 20 participants.

Health

All participants must be in good health. This program is active and involves walking over uneven surfaces and climbing stairs. All locations may not be handicapped accessible. Any condition that may require special medical attention or other accommodation must be reported at the time of your reservation.

Deposit and Final Payment

Reservations will be accepted in order of receipt if accompanied by a completed reservation form and a deposit of $500 per person. Deposits can be made by check or be paid by credit card. Final payment, payable by check only, is due by May 12, 2008. A significant change in fuel costs, the value of the dollar, or group size could result in a slightly higher trip price.

Cancellations and Refunds

Refunds, less a cancellation fee of $275 per person, will be made if we are notified in writing on or before May 12, 2008. No refunds are granted after that date.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. A travel insurance application will be sent out with receipt of your deposit.

Responsibility

A detailed statement of limitations and exclusions of liability of Siemer & Hand Travel, Inc., and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art for loss of property, injury, illness or death will be provided to passengers upon enrollment and is available to prospective travelers upon request.
